Purchasing Manager – Hybrid (Near Whiteley, Winchester-Based)

Ferox Partners is proud to be recruiting a Purchasing Manager on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and growing procurement team, supporting high-profile UK and European projects.
As Purchasing Manager, you will oversee procurement operations to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You’ll work closely with logistics and mobilisation teams, managing supplier relationships and coordinating import/export processes for centrally held equipment used across UK-based projects.
Support project teams with purchasing needs – from sourcing quotes to placing orders
Develop and execute procurement strategies that drive efficiency and value
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with internal standards
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts to secure the best commercial outcomes
Monitor market trends to drive continuous improvement and cost savings
Collaborate across UK business units to identify and realise procurement synergies
Provide reporting on procurement activity, savings, and supplier performance
Support the implementation and oversight of a new PO system integrated into ERP/finance platforms
Work with stakeholders on import/export procedures, ensuring robust controls and documentation
Liaise with the fleet manager on vessel charter documentation and rate management
Track and report on stock levels and assets across UK sites
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a procurement or purchasing role
Strong knowledge of procurement processes and contract management
Experience working with ERP systems
Commercial mindset with a proactive and risk-aware approach
Highly organised and detail-focused
Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
Strong verbal and written communication across internal and external stakeholders
Advanced IT proficiency (Excel, MS Office, SharePoint)
Membership of or working toward a recognised procurement qualification (preferred- CIPPS or equivalent)
Salary up to £45,000 base
