Financial Accountant – 6 months Fixed Term Contract

Location: Winchester (free, onsite parking)
Reports to: Head of Finance

Salary: £50k – £60k (depending on qualification and experience)

Role Overview

Ferox Partners are working with an established not for profit organisation, to recruit a Financial Accountant on a fixed term contract basis. You will be responsible for overseeing a small team, preparing the accounts, leading the financial audit and developing and maintaining the financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, develop and motivate the team to deliver excellent performance
Lead the accounting processes, internal controls, procurement, expense and payroll process
Lead the annual financial audit, complete VAT returns, reconciliations, partial exemptions and compliance
Support the preparation of draft statutory accounts
Prepare accurate and timely internal and external reporting

Candidate Profile

Essential

Open to QBE, part qualified or qualified Accountant
Significant experience producing management and statutory financial statements
Experience of managing a team
Experience of completing HMRC / VAT / Companies House returns
Available to commit to the contract on short notice (one week maximum)

Desirable

Charity / Not for profit experience

Salary and Benefits:
