Business Development Manager – Construction & Industrial

  • Southwest England (Essential)
  • Full-Time, permeant with 1 day per week in Bournemouth. 
  • Up to £47,500 Basic | OTE £60,000- £100k depending on experience and skill

Ferox Partners are proud to be partnering with a market leader who are a UK leader in their field. We are supporting them to recruit a Business Development Manager who will drive growth across the construction and industrial sectors.

With more than 25 years of industry experience, our client has built a reputation for delivering their solutions through a large network of licensed suppliers and a strong service-led approach. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a well-connected and commercially driven sales professional to expand their presence in key markets.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact, field-based business development role focused on securing new opportunities within the construction and industrial sectors.

You will be responsible for identifying and winning new business while building strong partnerships with both clients and regional suppliers. Acting as the face of the business, you will play a key role in shaping market presence and driving profitable growth across services including skips, ROROs, compactors and balers.

This role would suit someone already active within the waste, construction or industrial industries, with established relationships and a proven ability to generate new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development across construction and industrial sector clients
  • Build and strengthen relationships with regional waste suppliers to improve service availability and pricing
  • Act as a key market representative and brand ambassador for the company
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing and service agreements with clients and suppliers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and tendering through to closing and onboarding
  • Maintain awareness of construction activity, industrial demand and market pricing
  • Ensure all solutions are commercially viable and operationally deliverable
  • Work closely with internal teams including commercial, operations, account management and finance
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities

Experience & Skills Required

  • Strong experience within the waste, construction or industrial sectors is essential
  • Existing relationships with skip suppliers and key industry clients is essential
  • Proven track record in business development or sales
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and accountable
  • Full UK driving licence

  • Well-connected within the construction and industrial sectors is essential
  • Commercially astute with the ability to identify and convert opportunities from conception to inception
  • Credible, personable and able to build trusted long-term relationships
  • Energetic, proactive and results-driven
  • Comfortable working in a high-autonomy field-based role

Package & Benefits

  • Basic salary up to £47,500
  • Realistic OTE of £60,000-100k
