Commercial Property Legal Assistant

Location: Bournemouth – 5 days in the office
Salary: £25k pa – £27k pa + benefits
Ferox Partners are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, who are looking for an experienced Commercial Property Legal Assistant to join their busy and successful team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and organised Legal Assistant who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to be part of a firm known for delivering excellent client service.
As a Commercial Property Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to fee earners and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the department.
Key responsibilities will include:
Acting as a first point of contact for clients, providing a professional and friendly service
Opening, maintaining and closing legal files in line with procedures and regulatory requirements
Managing correspondence, documentation and file administration
Supporting fee earners with day-to-day case management
Preparing letters and legal documents from digital dictation
Coordinating appointments and client communications
Maintaining strong client and third-party relationships
Assisting with billing, archiving and general administrative tasks
Contributing to improving processes and supporting the wider team
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience working as a Legal Assistant within a law firm or legal environment
Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience supporting a property/conveyancing team would be advantageous
Confidence using Microsoft Office and case management systems
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to prioritise workloads and work independently
A positive, flexible and team-focused approach
Experience with audio typing and digital dictation would be highly desirable.
