Ferox Partners are excited to be recruiting for a Finance Assistant, on a temporary / temp to perm / contract / permanent basis. Our client is a fast growing UK consumer business, with a strong reputation for delivering high quality products and exceptional customer experiences.
The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing sales ledger activities and ensuring timely reconciliations across a high volume transactional environment.
The successful candidate will be self motivated, organised, and comfortable working in a fast paced business where processes continue to evolve and improve.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Ledger
- Manage and review customer invoices through Xero
- Process and reconcile high volumes of customer invoices and remittances.
- Proactively follow up outstanding remittances and resolve customer queries.
Credit Control
- Support the sales team with credit control and account management activities.
- Manage debtor accounts, chase overdue balances, and escalate issues where required.
- Take ownership of the collections process to support healthy cash flow.
Query Resolution
- Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, and remittance discrepancies.
- Handle disputed invoices, short payments, and related customer queries professionally and efficiently.
Bank & Payment Reconciliations
- Perform reconciliations across high volume, multi-currency bank accounts.
- Reconcile payments across UK and European operations, including FX and payment gateway transactions.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a finance, accounts, or bookkeeping role.
- Experience working in a high volume, transactional finance environment.
- Experience supporting payroll administration.
- Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software such as Xero.
- Ideally you will be available to start on short notice.
