You will need to be passionate about building relationships and nurturing them, through regular contact, social events and more.

The Role
Ferox Partners are looking for a Business Development Executive- Commercial Insurance to join their thriving local Commercial team. This is a newly created role due to growth, focused on servicing and growing an existing portfolio while identifying new business opportunities. You’ll work closely with senior management to work to hit business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the commercial insurance sector.
- Build a robust pipeline through prospecting, networking, and attending industry events.
- Deliver tailored insurance solutions through effective presentations and proposals.
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with clients, from sole traders to MDs and CEOs.
- Understand client needs to develop customised insurance solutions.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create competitive product offerings.
- Develop and implement business strategies with the leadership team.
Collaboration and Compliance:
- Work with marketing, underwriting, claims, and service teams to ensure seamless client experiences.
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines and company policies while preparing accurate documentation.
What you need:
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the commercial insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and risk management solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
- Insurance certifications are a plus.
