Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire
Salary: £42,000 – £55k base + Uncapped commission scheme
Extras: Company car/allowance (post probation), pension, group death-in-service, 23 days holiday + bank holidays
About the Role
Ferox Partners are proud to be supporting a leading provider of communication and video security solutions in their search for a Business Development Manager who is used to getting involved in contracts, bids and tenders and knows their way around a contract.
This is a key role, central to driving market engagement and promoting cutting-edge solutions and services across the UK. You’ll be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships that deliver long-term growth.
The successful candidate will play a crucial part in identifying opportunities, overseeing the sales process from quotation through to closure, and building trusted, value-driven relationships with clients and partners.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Revenue Generation – Own the sales cycle from lead generation through to closing, creating quotations and tender responses, and securing new business.
- Business Development – Prospect for new opportunities across multiple sectors, attend industry events, explore new verticals, and capitalise on marketing-generated leads, as well as networking, business events and client meetings.
- Client Relationships – Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with priority clients, keeping them informed of industry trends, company developments, and product innovations.
- Bids and tenders- Overseeing the creation and delivery of quotations and tenders’ responses for customers and prospects, whilst following up as required to convert enquiries into orders, balancing revenue, client, and margin needs
- Market Growth – Develop business opportunities through public sector frameworks and industry tender portals. Whilst working with other BDM’s, technical sales team and sales execs to find the most appropriate solution.
- Collaboration – Work closely with technical sales teams and other business development colleagues to deliver the most effective solutions.
- Professional Development – Stay up to date with sector trends, technology advancements, and competitor activity.
- Reporting & Administration – Maintain accurate CRM records and provide sales reporting as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record in generating revenue through business development, account management, and closing deals.
- Strong knowledge of either Body worn cameras, PTToC, Radios. Crowd or Venue intelligence, is essential with a willingness to learn the other products.
- Knowledge of the markets, sectors, or suppliers in the above areas is key.
- Highly motivated with excellent initiative, drive, and prioritisation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing abilities.
- Outcome-focused with a desire to exceed targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent IT skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

- Basic Salary: £42,000- £55k base
