- Salary: £55k- £65k + hybrid working after probation and more.
We’re supporting a fast-growing SME logistics business in hiring a Finance Controller to rebuild, stabilise and lead the finance function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, accuracy and strong processes, with a clear pathway to Finance Director level.
The Role
- Full ownership of the finance function
- Lead and develop a Finance Assistant
- Build and embed financial processes and controls
- Deliver accurate monthly management accounts
- Budgeting, cashflow and cost control
- Improve systems and reduce manual inefficiencies
- Partner with Directors to strengthen financial visibility
What You Bring
- Conscientious, detail-focused and calm
- Organised, methodical and strong on systems
- Able to communicate clearly with non-finance colleagues
- Experience managing a finance function (industry or practice)
- Comfortable improving processes and structure
- Logistics/operations experience helpful but not essential
