Finance Manager
Location: Near Whiteley
Working Pattern: Flexible working hours and Hybrid- 3 days office based 2 days WFH
Salary: Up to £55k base + bonus and 8% employer pension

The Opportunity
As Finance Manager, you’ll support the Finance Director and Financial Controller with the day-to-day running of the finance function. You’ll lead and mentor a small team, manage reporting cycles, and ensure the business meets all internal and external financial requirements.
You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering timely and accurate management accounts, forecasts, and statutory reporting, while providing commercial insight to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the finance team, providing day-to-day leadership and mentoring
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, P&L, and cashflow forecasts
- Prepare and analyse quarterly reports, budgets, and financial forecasts
- Lead the production of statutory accounts (including consolidated accounts)
- Support VAT and corporate tax reporting in collaboration with the wider finance team
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure robust financial controls
- Partner with stakeholders across the business, providing relevant financial insight
- Work with auditors to ensure smooth and successful year-end audits
- Monitor compliance with financial policies, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Support group treasury, FX hedging, and credit card/expenses management
About You
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or finalist level)
- Proven experience in a management role within a finance function
- Strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and working to tight reporting deadlines
- Confident with budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering
- Comfortable using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communicator – able to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Proactive, detail-driven, and confident analysing and resolving issues
- Experience in joint ventures, tax (VAT and Corp Tax), and treasury/hedging is desirable
- A natural team leader who can coach, support, and develop others
