Salary: £55k- £65k base

Role Overview

Ferox Partners are working with a growing business to recruit a hands-on and experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function, Reporting to the MD this role will be looking after the day to day finance division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, developing the finance team, and ensuring strong financial controls and reporting. This role combines operational delivery with strategic input, providing insight and analysis to support decision-making and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily finance operations, including invoicing, credit control, supplier payments, VAT, and HMRC processes
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance and deadlines are met
  • Analyse departmental procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and advise senior management
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and supporting commentary
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Analyse financial data, interpret trends, and identify cost-reduction opportunities
  • Liaise with external accountants for year-end audit and compliance processes
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, auditors, and other business partners

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar financial management role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and leadership experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with SAGE accounting software
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Desirable

  • Education in mathematics at A-Level or degree level
  • Experience supporting process improvements or strategic initiatives

Salary and Benefits: 

£55k- £65k base depending on experience
