Ferox Partners are excited to be partnering with a growing residential development business, to recruit a Finance Manager, who can take ownership of the accounting function for its expanding housebuilding division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional with property development, construction, or new homes experience to step into a Finance Manager position within a successful and fast growing organisation.

Reporting directly to senior leadership team, you will play a key role in managing the day to day financial operations of the business, supporting commercial decision making and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing day to day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance.
  • Overseeing CIS administration and ensuring compliance with relevant HMRC requirements.
  • Processing subcontractor payments and verifying CIS deductions.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Supporting month end processes and management accounting activities.
  • Monitoring project costs and working closely with operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintaining accurate and well organised financial records.
  • Providing financial support and insight to senior stakeholders.

About You:

  • AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent), or currently studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.
  • At least five years’ accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Previous experience within construction, residential development, housebuilding, or a related sector.
  • Strong understanding of CIS processes and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, COINS, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing business.
