Tech Lead

A specialist .NET development agency is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead to support the delivery of high-quality digital platforms and custom applications for a range of clients. The Tech Lead will act as the senior technical authority on key projects, remaining close to the code while guiding both technical decisions and the work of the engineering team.

Role

The Tech Lead will be responsible for turning business and product requirements into robust, secure and maintainable software solutions. They will work across architecture, development and delivery, ensuring projects are well designed, clearly scoped and successfully implemented.

Responsibilities

Design and build modern .NET solutions, from initial architecture through to deployment
Mentor a team of engineers by setting technical direction, reviewing code and supporting professional development
Collaborate with project and account teams to estimate, plan and deliver projects within agreed timelines and budgets
Continuously improve engineering practices, tooling, DevOps pipelines, performance and security

Experience and skills

Extensive commercial experience as a senior .NET engineer
Proven ability to design end-to-end solutions, including integrations, APIs and cloud-hosted systems
Experience with, or strong interest in, CMS platforms such as Umbraco, Sitecore, Kentico or Contentful
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
A collaborative approach with a track record of mentoring and raising engineering standards

What you get:

The role offers a salary in the region of £60,000, depending on experience, with a hybrid working arrangement centred around Bournemouth. The Tech Lead will have the opportunity to shape key projects end-to-end and play a visible role in the growth and capability of the engineering team
