Technical Trainer & Documentation Specialist (Isle of Wight, UK)

Isle of Wight, UK (Office-Based)

Our client is a global innovator in industrial technology, specialising in automation, process control, and advanced systems that keep industries running smarter, safer, and more efficiently. Their solutions are trusted by some of the world’s most demanding sectors, and they’re known for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in technology and engineering.

The Role:
We’re looking for a Technical Trainer & Documentation Specialist to join our client’s team on the Isle of Wight. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be the go-to person for helping engineers understand, configure, and get the most out of cutting-edge industrial products. If you’re someone who loves breaking down complex ideas into simple, actionable steps and enjoys teaching others, this could be the perfect fit for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Creating Training Materials: You’ll design and develop training resources, including PowerPoint presentations, user guides, and practical exercises, all tailored to an engineering audience.
  • Delivering Training: You’ll run training sessions (both in-person and online) to teach engineers how to use and configure the products effectively.
  • Writing Documentation: You’ll produce clear, accurate, and easy-to-follow technical documentation that helps users get up to speed quickly.
  • Collaborating with Teams: You’ll work closely with product developers, marketing, and support teams to ensure your materials are always up-to-date and aligned with the latest product features.
  • Improving Over Time: You’ll gather feedback from trainees and users to continuously refine and improve your materials.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A solid understanding of technical products, ideally in areas like industrial automation, process control, or similar fields.
  • Experience in technical writing, training, or a related role, with a knack for explaining complex ideas in a way that’s easy to grasp.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills – you’ll need to be confident standing in front of a room (or screen) full of engineers.
  • Proficiency in tools like PowerPoint for creating engaging training content.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach and a genuine passion for helping others learn.
  • A background in technical authorship or engineering would be a big plus.

Why You’ll Love This Role:
You’ll be working with a company that’s all about innovation and making a real impact in the industries they serve. It’s a collaborative environment where your ideas will be valued, and you’ll have the chance to grow your skills while helping others do the same.

How to Apply:
If this sounds like the kind of role you’d thrive in, we’d love to hear from you! Send your CV and a short cover letter detailing a project you feel is relevant to this role.
